We're all mad here!

Happy hump day everyone!  Tonight we have a fun Science night at Rhalynn's school.  Kindergarteners, pizza and science experiments, how can we not have fun?!  Rhalynn is really looking forward to it.

So today I have a great card to share with you.  After 6 attemps and countless images colored I finially got it.  I designed this card for the Sassy Studio Designs Alice in Wonderland Challenge.  I love Alice in Wonderland and I'm really excited about seeing Tim Burton's take which opens March 5th.  My fav characters are the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat.

The image is Sassy Mad Hatter digi from Sassy Studio Designs.  I printed her on PTI cardstock and colored her with my Triart markers.  So for the hat shaped card I traced the digi in my Make The Cut Software (first time I've used it) then got rid of everything but the hat.  I fiddled with it a little and sized it and then cut it with my Cricut.  The PP is from my Sugar Rush Collection, the hat band is on DCWV glitter paper.  I'm going to put tickets to the movie in it and give it to my Hubby so we can have a date night.

This is the picture I used for my inspiration.  Doesn't Johnny Depp make a fantastic Mad hatter!

I'm also excited to say that I got my very first blog award from Audrey at Cute and Some.

A little overboard!

Happy Birthday Heather!!
Today is my sister, Heather's birthday.  I don't think she reads my blog but just in case I wanted to wish her a happy one.

I think I may have gone a little overboard with the Sugar Rush papers one this one.  This is for my other sister,Nicole's birthday. (I have four siblings)  All the paper is from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush Collection.  The sentiment is stickers also from the collection.  I don't know if I mentioned it but I LOVE this paper!  The image is digi Sweet Kiki from C.C. Designs.  I printed her on PTI cardstock and colored her with my Triart markers.  And look at the top of the pic, I finially found out how to do a watermark.  Its simple and kind of silly that it's taken me this long to figure it out.

A little spring!

Happy Monday to everyone.  I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  It's a little dreary here today.  I'm okay with that as long as the rain doesn't turn to snow.

Today's card is a bright spring card.  I'm going to try to get all my Easter cards finished early (I stress TRY!)  First off the cute little girl elf image is a Sweet November Stamp by Amy Young.  I stamped her on PTI cardstock and colored her with my Triart markers.  I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Small Circles to cut her out.  All the paper and the sentiment sticker came from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush Collection Packthat I won from Monique at Monique Griffith Designs.  You'll be seeing a lot of it because I love it so much.  I also used some adhesive rhinestones and flower brads from my stash.

Birthday card for my Favortie Little Guy!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WESTIN!!
My friend's little boy Westin will be two tomorrow!!  This is the card I put together for him.  I love all the bright colors!!  The PP is from a set that I got from Oriental Trading a couple of years ago.  I unearth it last weekend when I was cleaning up my room.  The image mats are from my scrap stash.  I used three different images for this one.  The main image is Bigsby from Karen Doodles.  Isn't he just the cutest thing ever?  The cupcake is a Imaginisce.  The sentiment is another perfectly clear stamp by Stampendous.  I stamped it on three different colors and paper pieced it together.  I thought that it was perfect since he is turning 2.  I printed my image on PTI white cardstock and colored them with my Triart markers.  I think I might actually be getting the hang of them.  A big *muah* to Rachel for helping me get started with them and to my Hubby for indulging me when I wanted to expand my collection!!
