Christmas Cards

So I promised my friend R that I'd be posting something this weekend so here it is.

I've been working on Christmas Cards all summer long. My thinking is that if I started them in June, then possibly Id finish them in time to actually send them out this year.

The first is my favorite. The sled is from the Christmas Noel Solutions cart. I'm making six of each design. I'm not sure what size I cut them at, but since I did them in DS I have them saved. I stickled the white top part of the sleigh and the bottom was cut from a DCWV metalic stack. There are quite a few layers to this one, I love my Zig glue pen. Sorry about the quality of the picture, I waited until to late and lost all of the good light.

This one is my second fav and I think that it turned out fairly well. The reindeer is from Doodlecharms and again I have no idea what size. I stickled his little red nose. The paper is from a Martha Stewart Chirstmas stack that I got on clearence this past January. Someone suggested the googlie eyes over at the Cricut MB when I brought up my delima of doing the face.

As always thanks for stopping by and have a Scrappy week!!

Santa Card

Good morning and happy Saturday!!! Its a wonderful day today in our household. The Hubby got back last night from a week long TDY. A week usually isn't a big deal for us but since he just got back from a 5 1/2 month deployment they girls were franic when he left. But now he is home and the girls are just as happy as little clams.

Well so on to the card. I wanted to make my Christmas cards this year but I usually say this and never do it. So I thought that if I started early enought and just worked out them occasionally I woudn't get bored with them. So I started working on them in June. They seem to be going together pretty fast.

Of course I used my Cricut (which I sometimes refer to as my third child.) I made the card and welded the shape onto it using DS. I can't even work with the Cricut with out DS. I inked Santa up a little so that he looked like he just came down the chimney. Not really sure how much I like it but it kind of grows on you.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a scrappy day!!!

Grins and giggles.

I'm so excited that I'm finially gettting though all of my pictures and actually scrapping them. I got so excited about altering thing this last year that the thousands of pictures I have, have been getting lonely.

Most of the time I have a hard time with what pictures to use. I have hundred of each month of Rhalynn's first year. And while I'll put all of them in some sort of album I only want to do one two-page layout for each month for her personal scrapbook.

I'm working on November and really couldn't find anything that struck my inspiration. Then I remember that I had perfessional pictures taken when she turned 6 month (in November). It took some time for me to track down all the proofs (I usually buy them). But once I did find them the memories of the afternoon came back to me. Rhalynn was such a happy little baby. Just about anything made her smile so getting great pictures wasn't hard. I remember the little tinkling, gigglie baby laugh and her pulling off her socks even before the photographer could get one picture.

So here page one of Rhalynn's november layout.

Drippy Goo fun

I got the ever elusive Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Border Punch a couple of days ago. Many thanks goes to Rachel over at the The Paper Crafting Place for helping me get this punch. Check out her blog, she makes wonderful cards. Her Halloween card was the inspiration for mine. She rocks!!

I kind of went in a wierd direction with these. I sat down to make a birthday card so I pulled out my DCWV Citrus Cardstock stack. Well to say the least the birthday cards stunk. But since I had the stack out I used it. I also used some Studio G $1 stamps and of course the MS drippy goo punch
.

Have a scrappy day!!

Rhalynn's first Halloween 2004

I did it! I finially finish Rhalynn's first Halloween layout. I posted the first page the other day but I just couldn't get the second page. So I decide go simple, it worked on the first page. While they aren't the most fantastic pages I've ever done, I did finailly finish them.
Here's the first page that I posted a couple of days ago.

I finished the second page last night. Again I'm not completly happy but they can't always be fantastic.

Don't forget to check out my blog candy Here. My girls will be drawing three names tonight at 8:00pm.

Halloween layout

I've put off this layout for years......seriously! I just never could decide how I wanted to do it. My oldest Rhalynn was a very cute pumpkin for her first Halloween and I wanted to do something special. Since she was too young (5 months) to trick or treat we went to build-a-bear. She could have cared less but her Godmother, Margaret, and I had a blast.

Some how we only ended up with one picture. Which is why I had so much trouble with it. I usually have at least three pictures per page. So tonight I sat down and decided that I had to do it, mostly so I could move on and not keep going back to it.

It turned out fairly well. I think its still missing something but I'm going to leave it alone.
I used OA for the letters and welded the vine from Home Decor then cut "little pumpkin" again and layered it. The pumpkins on the bottom came with a mini album from K&Company that I got on clearance last year. You can't tell from the picture but the pumpkins have stripes in the darker orange.

I'm going to try to complete at least 10 layouts this month. My pictures are backing up on me while I spend all my time altering things. So I'm putting down the comp books and picking up some pictures. So stay tuned for more layouts this month.

Don't forget to check out my blog candy Here. Just two more days to enter.
Three winners will be drawn on August 4th.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!!
