I hope that everyone is having a fantastic Saturday! Anthony works this weekend so it will be a lazy one for the girls and I. I played along with the sketch from Mojo Monday and the text challenge at Cute Card Thursday. Its really a card to myself since I feel that exercise is a dirty word when I'm dragging my behind out of bed at 5am every morning to go to the gym.
Good Monday morning friends! For those of you wondering we has a wonderful week in Pigeon Forge! The girls didn't want to come home (however I was ready to get back to my own bed).
Here's a wonderful pic of Anthony and the girls in front of the MagiQuest Castle. Which by the way is one of the funnest things we have ever done. How can you go wrong with magic wands and adventure quest that range from easy to really really hard?!?! I also just found out there is a MagiQuest at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason Ohio (Anthony and I have been talking about going).
Okay on to why you are here! My extremely talented bestie Rachel and some other very very talented ladies started a blog Color Me Copic about a month ago. If you haven't been there, go now! Its mainly an informational and tutorial blog with tons of helpful hints. Rach did a fantastic tutorial on coloring images black and while and issued a challenge to use the method. Te best part is that The Greeting Farm has donated the prize!!!!!! Since Rach is my number one cheerleader and a fabulous friend I had to try my hand at it. I'm happy I did!
I had to add a touch of color since I bought the DCWV Black Currant stack (its so fabulous!!) at JA's the moment I saw it. I've been waiting for it since I saw a sneak peek of it. I also used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #59 and turned it on its side.
Well good morning bloggy friends! We will shortly be leaving for Dollywood! The girls are so excited! Then tonight Anthony and I are going on a date!! WOOO HOOOO! He's taking me to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
I have another Go-To Sketch for you. This one is fabulous. I'll be using it over and over. Its a no brain way for me to use several patterned paper. I'll be sending this to my great friend Margaret in San Antonio who I miss very much.
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope that you are all having a wonderful day! My little family and I are once again in Pigeon Forge, TN. I'll try to have some pictures to post at the begining of next week. We spent the morning at Dollywood, and the girls just always have the best time. And since Anthony is along for this trip I was actually able to ride a few rides by myself. Tonight we go the the Dixie Stampede and the girls and Grandpa are napping now so that we are all rested and relaxed for the fun show tonight.
This card I made a week or so ago. The XOXO strip is a removable clip that I thought would make a wonderful bookmark.
This was scheduled to post this morning while we were out having a great play date with our friends but yet again blogger has failed me on the pre-scheduling.
It's Thursday which means only two more sleeps (how we count down to exciting things) until my super duper, fun filled, no kids allowed, whole day fun with my BFF Rachel!!! Which will include but not limited to scrapbook sales, tasty food, vampires and werewolf's. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i'm excited. Can you tell?)
I've had the Paper Crafts Magazine Go-to Sketches since it came out in May but have yet to use it. Why I don't know, I love sketches and can hardly do anything without one. Everyone of the Go-to Sketches is great and they even included a few that are super simple. So I whipped up this in no time flat. Its actually one of my favorites from the magazine.
My first Christmas card of the year! If I don't start now I'll never get them all done. It seems that the challenge blogs are with me on that since several have a holiday theme this week. I know the background paper looks red but its really pink.
Here's my next installment of challenge cards today! I used another Anya on this one. She was calling to be inked up. I used lots of Stickles on the bubbles but you can't really tell in this picture. I followed PapertakeWeekly's Sketch # 44 for this fantastic configuration.
Stamp - TGF Me Time Anya
Paper - Cosmo Cricket
Flowers - Prima
Stickles - Star Dust
Brads - unknown origin
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy
See you back here in a few! Don't forget to check all my post for today!
I have four cards that are due for challenges today and I really like to keep each one in a different post for labeling purposed.
Heres the first of the four cards that I made last night. I just love TGF Stella. Isn't she the cutest. This was my first attempt at making "shiny" black hair. With the help of a couple of utube videos and looking at all the wonderfulness on my BFF Rachel's blog I think I did fairly well.
I feel like such a bad blogger :( The girls have kept me super busy this summer. I managed to get some time to create last night. This card turned out fantastic I think. I had to cut the petals down quite a bit. The stamps are huge but I love how it turned out.
Recollections Acrylic Alphabet Letters - Pink and clear (colored with Staz-on Mustard)
Stamps - Technique Tuesday: Loves me, loves me not
I'm a Mother, a Military wife, a daughter, a sister and a friend. My wonderful husband, Anthony, and I have been married for 12 years. We have two beautiful, wonderful and dramatic girls. Rhalynn is 8 and Clara is 6 and they fill my days with laughter, love and sassiness.
I created this blog to share my love of paper and anything paper craft related. I hope that you find inspiration here!!!
