Good Monday morning to you!

I made this card last week for National Pink Day.  Of course I didn't get a chance to post it because of course I'm always behind.  I blame my Mother who is forever late and behind.  The image is Inkadinkado (I love saying that) stamped in Memento  Rose Bud.   The light pink paper is The Paper Company and the shiny paper is core'dinations Gemstones Pink Diamond.  I also used a little PTI raspberry fizz for the scalloped circle.   I believe the sketch was from last weeks Chrisma Cards Challenge.

I hope that everyone has a fantastic Monday!

Happy 10th Anniversary Anthony!!

Ten year ago in the June sunlight, under a beautifully blue Texas sky Anthony and I said "I do".  When I met him only seven months before I knew he was the one, my only.  A month later he proposed and the only thing that stopped up for eloping was the wrath of my Grandmother.  So we waited 6 months and got married in my Grandparents backyard.
So 10 year, 7 houses, 3 PCS's, and 2 kids later we still hold hands, we still kiss in the kitchen and he still makes my heart flutter when he smiles at me.

I used an image from The Greeting Farms My Guy Ian set, some core'dinations CS, a few scraps of Stampin Up CS and a DCWV PP and a Heidi Grace quote stamp.  I didn't make anything extravagant because that's just not my guy.  He's laid back and simple, so that's how I wanted the card to look.

I hope that everyone has a beautiful day!

Happy National Pink Day!

Of course the card I have for you today isn't pink but I'll try to get to that this afternoon.  Sorry about being a bad blogger, the girls and I have been keeping ourselves busy.  We try to do something fun and/or educational every day.  I hope that everyone else is having a wonderful summer.

Before we get to the card I want to share with you my favorite moment of our recent trip to Pigeon Forge.  My girl Clara is weary of the people dressed up in the giant head costume.  So when Strawberry Shortcake walked through the door and her face lit up I knew we were in for a special treat.  Clara got to meet one of her all time favorite characters and I got two pictures where she wasn't covering her face or trying to hide behind someone.  This two minutes of Clara being thrilled made my day!!

Okay on to why you are really here!

When I saw this weeks sketch over at Get Sketchy
Photobucket

this card began to form in my little crafty brain.  The blue CS is core'dinations Marine Blue that I embossed with my CB Stars folder and sanded a little to bring out the white.  The rest of the CS and ribbon were from my scraps. The little sentiment is Studio G.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.  The girls and I are off the the Boonshoft Museum later this morning.

I love summer!

Summer time has always been a magic time for me.  I grew up in Texas where summer started early and ended late.  Fresh mowed grass, the smell of wheat when its harvested, clear blue skys, endless days at the lake, and long summer nights.  I grew up in a family of five kids so we had stay-cations before the they were cool.  We camped in the front yard, and my parents were never surprised in the morning when there would be twice as many kids there as we started out with.  One of the great things about growing up in a small town is that all your friends heard about the camp out before you'd even get the tent up.  I hope my girls grow up believing in the magic of summer.  I can't give them the small town summers that I grew up having but I can help them experience everything that summer has to offer.  Don't forget to experience a piece of the summer magic for yourself!

I went into my LSS yesterday looking for one thing (which they didn't have) but I found this cutie instead.  She was on my must have list after the previews on All That Scraps Blog and I was so excited to see that my LSS was carrying them.  I think I'll have to go back and pick up some of the others.  She is Summer from the CC  Designs Honey collection.  Isn't she just adorable!  All the paper is from the Poteeka Souffle from the Paper Studio.  I used my scalloped nestie, some scrap ribbon and some of my favorite color buttons.  The card sketch is from Friday Sketchers #105 and I thought it was fantastic for these papers.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

Monogramed note cards

I hope that everyone's week has started out well.  Yesterday Anthony was off so we had a lazy day and did some laundry.  I don't think I ever actually finish doing laundry.  I've been working on several projects I just can't find the time to finish them!

However I did get this set of card complete.  They are for my cousin Miranda who just graduated from High School.  I'm so pround of her and sad that I wasn't there to see her walk across the stage.  I made two card in three different color combinations. (Did that make sense?)

The first two I did in black and yellow, her high school colors.  I used Martha Stewart monogram and frame stamps set for the M.  Of course I used my Nestibilities Small Scalloped Circles in the three smallest sizes.  The background paper I made myself using one of the images from Inkadinkaso's Circle and Dots set.

The second set of two I did in red and black because Miranda will be attending Texas Tech nect year.  I ended up having to add the blue ribbon because I couldn't find anything else that I really liked.  Instead of stamping my background on this one I used some scraps I had of a fabulous DP by Me and My Big Ideas.

The last set of two I did in Black and PTI's Raspberry Fizz because those are the colors I used in her congratulations card which you can see in THIS post.  On this one I used two more stamps from the Inkadinkado's Circle and Dots stamp set to make the background.

I hope that she loves them.

CONGRATS MIRANDA!!!  We love you!!

Have a happy Tues everyone.  We are off to the park to play with our favorite friends!!

Its Friday!!

My bestest crafty friend Rach gave me Cheeky Shooter and I just had to ink her up.  I've had her colored for a couple of days I just haven't had time to actually put it together.  Of course Shooter is from TGF and she's stamped on PTI paper and colore with Triart markers.  All the paper is from THIS huge Cosmo Cricket kit that I got for $15 at Tuesday Morning.  I'm working on several more things using the kit.  The cute bulls-eye brad is from THIS Anna Griffin set that I got at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $3.50.  The little pearls are from Queen and Co.

I used The Sweet Stop sketch #58 which I thought was fabulous!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday and an amazing weekend.

Happy Hump Day!

We've been super busy since my last post, last Tuesday.  Last Wednesday was Rhalynn's kindergarten graduation.  I have to tell you I was teary eyes almost the whole time. Photobucket
I can't believe how much Rhalynn has grown since the begining of the school year.  The last day of school was Thursday so Clara, Rhalynn and I went for ice cream and just had a girly afternoon.

Saturday was Rhalynn's 6th birthday.  Since its a really bad weekend for a birthday party we decided to see a movie.  R got to invite her favorite friend Brooklyn.  Rhalynn, Brooklyn and Clara all got dressed up in tiaras, boas, and tons of jewelry and we went to see Shrek.  After the movie we had cake and open presents.  As you can see Clara has already ditched her dress up stuff.  Don't they just look too cute in their matching outfits.  My girls would wear theirs everyday if I let them, I'm pretty sure B would too.

On Sunday we spent the beautiful afternoon at a wonderful park in Beavercreek Ohio.  They have a wonderful playground that both of the girls love.

Clara is very found of the turtles.

Rhalynn loves this seat that uses your body weight to spin you.  Of course she doesn't weigh enough to make it go very well so she wants you to spin her.

I almost forgot about the crafty portion of the post!
This notepad and thank you card went with the altered letter "H" that Rhalynn gave to her kindergarten teacher.  We will miss Mrs. Hawkins!
